As part of the Finance Projects team, you will support the agency to undertake a range of business improvement initiatives and prepare for an upgrade of finance and intersecting business systems over the next 2-3 years. We are seeking a talented, dynamic business analyst to help analyse, design and deliver a range of business improvement initiatives.

Ideally you will be client focused with an awareness or experience in finance and business analysis in a technical environment. This will entail liaising with stakeholders to understand and document business problems, requirements, processes, and assist in developing high level solutions.

The key duties of the position include

  • Participate in workshops and other collaboration or research activities with internal and external stakeholders to understand pain points, process flows and opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist in producing analysis and project artefacts as required to articulate business problems, proposed solutions, project considerations and other information which supports executive decision making.
  • Producing analysis and project artefacts such as process maps, business requirements, PowerPoint presentations, Excel data analysis
  • Work closely with IT, Finance and business project teams to ensure requirements are well understood, solutions tested, issues recorded and tracked, changes implemented, and business objectives met.
  • Manage assigned tasks and small projects.
  • Work closely with the finance team to develop and build out a future state finance operating model and implementation plan.
  • Project planning and coordination tasks including designing project approach, timelines, facilitating project meetings and assisting in resolving issues and keeping project momentum.
  • Facilitate and help conduct testing along with testing documentation artefacts in support of test cases executed.
