Senior Business Analyst

Lead the analysis and documentation of business and technical requirements to support Finance and Procurement processes in an ERP transformation. Description

• Lead the gathering, analysis, documentation, and validation of both business and technical requirements within Finance and Procurement domains.
• Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to map and define current and future state processes.
• Translate business needs into detailed, actionable functional requirements, including user stories and solution designs.
• Facilitate workshops, interviews, and collaborative sessions with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
• Work closely with systems integrators and software vendors to ensure alignment between business requirements and system capabilities.
• Support the entire project lifecycle, from initial requirements gathering through implementation and post-deployment support.
• Assist in developing test scenarios, planning and executing tests, and managing defect resolution alongside testing teams.
• Contribute to change impact analysis and assist with stakeholder communication and training activities.
• Maintain a disciplined approach to ensure full traceability of requirements throughout design, build, testing, and deployment phases.
• Apply expertise in business process improvement, continuous improvement, and digital finance methodologies.
• Support key data migration activities, including data mapping, validation, reconciliation, and defect resolution in partnership with technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Contribute to wider project deliverables such as data transformation, change management, training development, and knowledge transfer to business-as-usual teams.

Profile

A successful Senior Business Analyst should have:

• Over 15 years of combined Finance Manager and Business Analyst experience, specialising in ERP implementation projects focused on Finance and Procurement functions.
• Deep expertise in Finance processes such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Budgeting, and Forecasting, as well as Procurement processes including Procure-to-Pay, vendor management, and sourcing.
• Proven experience working with ERP platforms like SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or comparable systems
• Skilled at collaborating effectively with a broad range of stakeholders, including technical teams, business users, and external vendors.
• Experienced in managing end-to-end project delivery encompassing design, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support (hypercare).
• Strong communication, facilitation, and documentation capabilities.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiar with Agile, Lean, and Waterfall project methodologies.
• Hands-on experience supporting data migration efforts, including legacy system integration, data cleansing, and validation.
• Proficient in data analysis, summarising insights, drawing conclusions, and presenting findings clearly.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and diverse stakeholder needs in fast-paced environments.
• Experienced in facilitating Agile ceremonies and retrospectives.
• Demonstrates strong emotional intelligence and a positive, results-driven mindset.
