Melbourne, Victoria, Australia MacKillop Family Services Full time
About the role

MacKillop's schools are part of the catholic education system, and we collaborate closely with Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools. As part of this education system, leaders and teachers, working in a catholic school are required to gain accreditation to teach in a Catholic school. This role will support relevant staff to gain this level of accreditation.

This position will lead and teach across the four Victorian campuses of MacKillop Education.

This role will be responsible, in collaboration with senior leaders, for nurturing the faith and spirituality of our students, families and staff, through dialogue, learning and reflection.

As a multi-faith community, we also recognize that some families and staff do not identify with any faith tradition; however, they have a strong spirituality that they seek to nourish and deepen. Therefore, this role will contribute to building a school community that is safe, respectful and inclusive and where the value and dignity of each person is recognized and celebrated.

  • Develop curriculum and resources to deepen students' knowledge and understanding of the catholic tradition, including MacKillop's founders
  • Deepen staff knowledge and understanding of the catholic tradition, including MacKillop's founders, through dialogue, professional learning and reflection
  • Deepen student and staff knowledge and understanding of other world religions through an incursion and excursion program

This is an ongoing part-time job share opportunity (22.8 hours per week) based in Clifton Hill, VIC within MacKillop Education. The position reports to the Director of Education.
