We are seeking an experienced Contract Manager to lead our team at the Viva Energy Refinery in Geelong, VIC. This pivotal role will oversee UGL's maintenance, turnaround, and project delivery across the refinery. You will be responsible for contract execution, HSE leadership, operational performance, commercial outcomes, and client engagement.

About the role

This is a rare opportunity to step into a senior leadership role and take charge of UGL's contract delivery at the Viva Energy Refinery in Geelong. You'll lead the execution of maintenance, turnaround and project scopes, driving safety, operational excellence, and commercial outcomes. The role demands confident leadership across multidisciplinary teams, strong stakeholder engagement, and a commitment to continuous improvement and compliance.

To thrive in this role, you'll bring deep experience in oil and gas—particularly in shutdowns and campaign execution—alongside a solid grasp of engineering principles and contract management. Your strategic mindset, clear communication, and ability to foster a high-performance culture will be key to delivering results aligned with UGL's values and client expectations.

What we're looking for
  • 10+ years' experience in senior roles within Oil & Gas environments
  • Proven leadership in maintenance, shutdowns, and campaign execution
  • Strong commercial acumen and contract management expertise
  • Demonstrated ability to drive HSE culture and continuous improvement
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Experience with project and maintenance planning systems
