Join a well-established, independent quantity surveying consultancy in Perth as an Associate and take the next step in your career with a team that values technical excellence, strong client relationships, and commercial leadership. This is a key leadership role with clear potential for progression toward Director level.

About the Role

As an Associate, you'll play a pivotal role in the delivery of high-profile projects across commercial, education, health, infrastructure, and mixed-use developments. You'll lead client engagements, mentor junior team members, and oversee the full project lifecycle from feasibility through to final account.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead pre- and post-contract cost management services across a portfolio of major projects

  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, providing strategic commercial advice

  • Oversee the preparation of cost plans, estimates, tender reviews, and value engineering

  • Manage and mentor a team of quantity surveyors and cadets

  • Provide commercial oversight and reporting, ensuring financial control and project efficiency

  • Contribute to business development and fee proposals in collaboration with directors

  • Represent the firm in meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors

  • Ensure compliance with internal QA systems and industry standards

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in quantity surveying, with consultancy background preferred

  • Proven leadership in cost management and client-facing delivery

  • Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management

  • AIQS, RICS, or equivalent professional membership (or working toward)

  • Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and stakeholder management

  • Experience working on mid- to large-scale building or infrastructure projects in Australia
