Join a well-established, independent quantity surveying consultancy in Perth as an Associate and take the next step in your career with a team that values technical excellence, strong client relationships, and commercial leadership. This is a key leadership role with clear potential for progression toward Director level.
About the Role
As an Associate, you'll play a pivotal role in the delivery of high-profile projects across commercial, education, health, infrastructure, and mixed-use developments. You'll lead client engagements, mentor junior team members, and oversee the full project lifecycle from feasibility through to final account.
Key Responsibilities
Lead pre- and post-contract cost management services across a portfolio of major projects
Develop and maintain strong client relationships, providing strategic commercial advice
Oversee the preparation of cost plans, estimates, tender reviews, and value engineering
Manage and mentor a team of quantity surveyors and cadets
Provide commercial oversight and reporting, ensuring financial control and project efficiency
Contribute to business development and fee proposals in collaboration with directors
Represent the firm in meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors
Ensure compliance with internal QA systems and industry standards
What We're Looking For
Minimum 10 years' experience in quantity surveying, with consultancy background preferred
Proven leadership in cost management and client-facing delivery
Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
AIQS, RICS, or equivalent professional membership (or working toward)
Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and stakeholder management
Experience working on mid- to large-scale building or infrastructure projects in Australia
