Are you a results-driven leader with a knack for strategic planning, event management, and business growth? We're on the hunt for an experienced Business Development & Events Operations Manager to join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in our continued success.
About the Role:As our Business Development & Events Manager, you'll be the operational force behind our events, marketing, systems, and people development. You'll manage a diverse portfolio that blends event execution, client relationship management, and strategic planning, while also supporting HR, marketing, and operational systems.
Responsibilities:Events & Sales:
Manage the events calendar (2–8 months projection)
Maintain and develop corporate partnerships and vendor relationships
Oversee site bookings and source new business opportunities
Collaborate on sales team allocations and manage feedback from team leaders
Handle event logistics, approvals, and equipment sourcing
Accounts & Operations:
Approve weekly payments and event-related spend
Monitor booking expenditures and follow-up on pending items
Marketing & Branding:
Work with the Marketing Coordinator to implement campaigns
Review artwork, update website content, and manage show collateral
HR & People:
Oversee onboarding, training, contracts, and performance reviews
Lead recruitment, leave requests, and team meetings
Maintain HR systems and ensure compliance with internal standards
Systems & Tech:
Manage digital tools such as Formstack, Zapier, Monday.com, and Siteground
Build workflows and integrations for operational efficiency
Customer Experience:
Collaborate with the deliveries department to improve processes
Stay involved with driver coordination and feedback systems
Regular Involvement:Weekly: Events meetings, marketing check-ins
Monthly: Operations reviews, one-on-one staff check-ins, newsletters
To be available on-call for urgent matters outside hours
