Job Title: Food and Beverage Attendants

Position Overview

The Food & Beverage Attendant plays a crucial role in ensuring our guests receive top-notch service and have a memorable experience. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere whether it is at the bar, in the restaurant, room service, conferencing and/or events.

Key Accountabilities

  • Greet and Seat Guests: Warmly welcome guests, assist with seating arrangements, and provide them with menus.
  • Take Orders: Knowledgeably describe menu items, answer questions, and take orders accurately, noting any special requests or dietary restrictions.
  • Serve Food and Beverages: Deliver food and drinks promptly and ensure they are presented according to standard.
  • Check on Guests: Regularly check in with diners to ensure they have everything they need and address any concerns.
  • Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the area clean and well-organised, including clearing tables, resetting, and restocking.
  • Collaborate with Kitchen Team: Communicate orders to the kitchen and ensure that food is prepared correctly and delivered promptly.
  • Handle Payments: Present bills to guests, process payments accurately.
  • Upsell and Promote: Suggest additional menu items, specials, or beverages to enhance the guests' experience.
  • Handle Guest Requests: Address special requests and accommodate guests' needs to the best of your ability.
  • Safety and Hygiene: Follow safety and hygiene protocols, including proper handling of food and beverages, as well as maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Adhere to health and safety regulations.
  • Flexibility in work schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Proven knowledge of food and beverage items, including wine and cocktails (training will be provided).
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items.
