About The Role

This is a brand-new position that offers you the opportunity to help make our new national DC a gold standard site.

As a DC Training Specialist at our newly built Truganina Distribution Centre (DC), you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the capabilities of our team members, including SRG and Labour Hire staff. Your mission will be to train and coach team members, ensuring that our standards and capabilities are consistently elevated. Furthermore, you will coordinate training activities and attendance as we introduce automation into the DC and transition Team Members from our Altona DC. This is a critical role to deliver and coordinate frontline training for standards uplift and automation readiness.

Reporting to the Supply Chain Learning Development Manager, your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

Responsibilities
  • Innovative Training: Deliver engaging orientation and induction programs.
  • Capability Building: Support DC labour capability through comprehensive training and assessments.
  • Coaching: Uplift individual and collective performance against business performance requirements.
  • Skill Development: Proactively manage skill gaps and training needs in collaboration with the DC Leadership and the Learning Manager.
  • Training Coordination: Coordinate the training schedule and attendance of a staged inventory transition into automation.
About You

We are looking for an energetic and vibrant individual who can bring enthusiasm and a positive attitude to inspire and motivate the team. You will have the ability to confidently guide and realign team members to ensure adherence to standards. In addition, you will have the following:

  • Experience working within a DC/ Warehouse in a high volume, multi-brand, Retail or 3PL distribution/ logistics environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to train and coach individuals from diverse backgrounds, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment.
  • Proven ability to effectively train and develop internal and labour hire staff, ensuring they meet performance standards and excel in their roles.
  • Proven experience in coordinating and delivering training programs.
  • Understanding of CoR – (Chain of Responsibility) – Current Legislation.
  • Demonstrated understanding of hazard identification/ incident management and investigation.
  • Holds a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
  • Exposure to a Manufacturing Excellence, Continuous Improvement or Six Sigma (Statistical Process Control) environment will be highly regarded.

Your highly developed interpersonal and communication skills will be key to this role.
