We are looking for a motivated and highly driven **Employee Relations Advisor** to join our growing team. This role has a strong Employees Relations focus and will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance on a national level.

**About the role**

Based in the Brisbane Head Office at South Bank and reporting directly to the HR Operations Leader, the primary attention of this role is to provide proactive ER/HR expertise for our people and leaders across multiple brands within our Flight Centre Travel Group's family. This advisory role has an emphasis on coaching, developing and empowering business leaders on a variety of people-related matters. You will also work with the wider People+Culture team on key initiatives to improve employee engagement and retention.

Your genuine passion for people means you thrive on building effective relationships, at all levels, to effectively manage employee grievances, workplace investigations, and conflict resolution processes. With a strong commercial focus, your knowledge and expertise drives the ER/HR advice and guidance you give the business on policies, procedures and compliance requirements (such as employment contracts, Modern Award and EBA interpretation, and other relevant legislative instruments).

**You'll be perfect for the role if you have**:

- Minimum 3 years' experience in an ER advisory role, or similar
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build confident and effective relationships
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- Proven experience with complex ER matters
- Sound commercial focus to resolving ER/HR matters
- Demonstrated experience in co-ordinating and conducting formal investigations
- Knowledge of national and state-based employment legislation, including (but not limited to) Fair Work Act and Bullying legislation, Modern Awards, Discrimination and Privacy legislation, and OH&S legislation
- Experience in successfully coaching leaders through complex performance management
- Ability to identify, develop and run appropriate development forums on key HR topics
- Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to work to deadlines
