The Role

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our dynamic regional team within a company in scale up mode. In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of driving our growth in Victoria by identifying new business opportunities, building strong relationships with clients, and building our market presence. You will be responsible for corporate and financial sector sales based in Melbourne and work closely with our sales, marketing, and product teams to align business objectives and deliver tailored solutions that exceed client expectations.

Responsibilities
  • Identify and pursue high-potential leads through outbound outreach, networking, and market research.
  • Owning the sales cycle from first contact to closing, you'll manage every step with precision and confidence.
  • Establish and maintain a strong pipeline to meet and exceed targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients in the corporate and financial sectors, acting as a trusted advisor for their compliance needs.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand market share.
  • Present GRC Solutions' products and services to clients, articulating their value and impact.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored proposals, ensuring client needs are met.
  • Staying sharp, monitor compliance & regulatory market trends and competitor activity to keep us ahead of the curve.
  • Represent GRC Solutions at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and regular performance reports to senior management.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in B2B business development, sales, preferably in the learning, SaaS, or compliance industries.
  • Strong track record of exceeding targets in a hunter role
  • Deep understanding of governance, risk, and compliance concepts and their relevance to businesses.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build and nurture relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive and results-oriented mindset.
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset and a love for fast-paced collaborative environments.
  • A degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
