As Project Coordinator Electrical, you will oversee the safe and efficient delivery of electrical projects at our Appin site. You will play a key role in ensuring projects are executed to plan, aligned with operational requirements, and successfully transitioned into ongoing operations. This is an exciting opportunity to join a business positioned for growth and committed to sustainability, safety, and performance.
Other Key Responsibilities Include, But Aren't Limited To
- Monitoring engineering progress, resources, and productivity
- Ensuring compliance with GM³ standards, legislation & industry codes
- Managing project risks, handover, and closeout processes
- Oversee Dyke equipment maintenance, ensuring both preventive and corrective tasks are completed on schedule to maximize equipment availability targets.
- Providing updates and technical input for project reporting
- Leading and allocating project crews for optimal outcomes
- Engage and collaborate with all stakeholders across the mine to ensure that project critical paths are actively monitored and delivered on time
You will be an experienced project professional with strong electrical expertise and the ability to lead, influence, and collaborate across diverse teams. You thrive in a mining environment and bring a proactive approach to safety, governance, and delivery.
You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
- Delivering projects safely, on-time & within budget
- Managing and motivating teams in complex operational settings
- Building strong relationships across multiple stakeholders
- Driving continuous improvement and operational integration
- Degree, Associate Diploma or Trade Certificate in Electrical Engineering/Trade
- Minimum 5 years' underground coal mining experience
- Strong communication & influencing skills across all levels
- Proven knowledge of effective project management in mining operations
