Electrical Design Lead

As a key member of our engineering team, you will oversee the delivery of electrical engineering work packages for various projects. This involves managing resources, ensuring compliance with safety and engineering standards, and providing hands-on project engineering.

Responsibilities

Safety and Leadership:

  • Ensure a safe working environment in accordance with our company policies and HSE standards.
  • Complete regular safety audits and activities.

Electrical Design:

  • Manage the electrical engineering team to align project scope and estimates with delivery strategy.
  • Establish high-quality engineering systems and processes.
  • Coordinate resource allocation in consultation with the engineering manager.

Design Engineering:

  • Develop electrical scopes of work, standards, and specifications for each project.
  • Perform electrical design tasks, including calculations, sketches, and drawing reviews.
  • Ensure alignment across disciplines by reviewing mechanical drawings and P&IDs.

Project Management:

  • Prepare technical specifications, tender packages, and manage procurement processes.
  • Support construction and commissioning phases, ensuring timely delivery of design information.
  • Assist with operational readiness, including maintenance and training materials.

Risk and Stakeholder Management:

  • Identify and actively manage risks associated with assigned work packages.
  • Maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including end users and contractors.
