If this sounds like something you want to be involved in, we are seeking an UG Planning Engineer, who wants to be developed into a Senior position Being a smaller and close-knit site, you will get exposure to many aspects of the operation including narrow vein mining and have the chance to design and implement your own systems as we ramp up. With upcoming projects such as Kalgoorlie East and Coyote, we are seeking someone who is committed to growing their career with us and exploring future career progression opportunities.

The position is FIFO from Perth, Darwin or Broome to site or DIDO from Onslow, Exmouth, Karratha, Dampier or in between. Paulsens is located in the Ashburton Basin of the Eastern Pilbara region, 211kms inland east of Onslow and 180km west of Paraburdoo. Flights are to Onslow or Paraburdoo, then a two-hour transport to site. The roster is day shift on an 8/6 rotation.

Working in collaboration with the Senior Mine Engineer, Alternate and UG Manager, you will be responsiblefor the mid-term to longer term mineplanning activities of the UG mine by developing effective plans, designs, and strategies to optimise mining productivity.

About the Opportunity

Key accountabilities of the position are to:

Prepare, review and audit mid to longer term mine designs and plans ensuring any risks to plans are identified and mitigated.

Collaborate with operations, geology, metallurgy, geotechnical, and production engineer teams for safe and practical design and mine plan execution.

Complete stope designs to maximise economic extraction of ore.

Undertake mine infrastructure analysis and projects to improve water and de-watering systems.

About You

We are seeking a positive and motivated 'can do' individualwithadaptive thinking, who enjoys autonomy in their role with anability to prioritise, analyse and problem solvewho has the following:

Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or equivalent.

Experience in underground mining, preferably gold,withexposure tovarious mining methods and engineering.

Exposure to capital projects and cost estimation across a wide range of mining activities and support services.

User of mine planning and scheduling software packages preferably Deswik (CAD and UGDB)and user of Ventsim.

Completed underground time or minimal underground time (desirable).

Abilityto workcollaboratively, and witha diverse range of people across all levels who understand weare all in this together.

Working in a collaborative manner, with an expectation to have fun along the way, the UG Mining Team will together, optimize development, grade and productivity
