Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Planning Engineer. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and solve complex problems.

Key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Developing and reviewing mine designs and plans to ensure they meet organizational objectives.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver safe and practical design and mine plan execution.
  • Creating stope designs to maximize economic extraction of ore.
  • Conducting analysis and implementing projects to improve water and de-watering systems.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience in underground mining, preferably gold, with exposure to various mining methods and engineering.
  • Knowledge of mine planning and scheduling software packages, including Deswik (CAD and UGDB) and Ventsim.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
