Production Optimizer

Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement advanced process control applications to ensure stable plant operation and optimize production performance.
Collaborate with process engineers and plant operators to identify opportunities for improvement in plant stability and production efficiency.
Work with control system and instrument engineers to plan and execute control modifications, troubleshoot logic problems, and diagnose field device issues.
Monitor plant operation and propose improvements to control strategy or operation strategy to effect improvements in efficiency and/or production.
Manage changes safely through the appropriate processes and provide engineering guidance to the operations team on plant operation.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Top 3 Must have skills:
- Demonstrated relevant process engineering or controls engineering experience working in an operating/design facility and/or chemical plant/refinery.
- Experience with Advanced Process Control, DMC3, or other relevant APC package.
- Familiarity with Yokogawa Centum VP or other control systems, additionally any demonstrated skills with writing code, data analytics, IT automation.
Nice to have skills:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering - chemical/process, instrument & controls, or relevant engineering discipline.
- Experience participating in HAZOP (Hazard and Operability Study), SOA (Safety and Operability Analysis) / LOPA (Layer of Protection Analysis).
