About The Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Program Lead – Animal Studies to lead a team of educators across our Bendigo and Broadmeadows campuses. This leadership role is responsible for coordinating, designing, fostering a high-performance culture and continuously improving vocational education programs in Animal Studies. You will ensure program excellence, compliance with regulations, and strong industry engagement.

Key Responsibilities Include
  • Overseeing curriculum design, delivery, and continuous improvement
  • Ensuring compliance with National VET Quality standards and animal ethics and welfare standards
  • Building and maintaining industry partnerships
  • Managing scheduling, workload allocation, and performance reviews
  • Supporting financial forecasting and achievement of enrolment targets

This role requires regular on-site presence at our Bendigo campus (minimum three days per week), and we strongly encourage applications from candidates who reside in the Bendigo region.

We Are Excited About You Because You Have
  • A current VET teaching qualification (TAE50116, TAE50216 or TAE50122)
  • A vocational qualification in Animal Studies or Veterinary Science
  • At least 4 years of industry experience in animal care
  • Strong understanding of animal welfare principles and ethics
  • Experience in team leadership and stakeholder engagement
  • Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
