We are seeking an Assistant Manager to join our team. In this role, you will provide leadership to a team of employees and ensure that excellent customer service is delivered at all times.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provides guidance and coaching to the team to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Leads the B2B Mark's Commercial Business function, including order entry and management, and coaches team members to ensure accurate and timely ordering and delivery to customers.
• Ensures that customers receive an exceptional omni-channel experience by offering in-store eCommerce sales and fulfilling eCommerce orders within defined service levels.
• Supports the customer experience by processing and moving inventory to the salesfloor in a timely manner.
Operational Excellence:
• Implements, communicates, and ensures compliance with all operating procedures, processes, and policies.
• Manages scheduling and follows up on execution of shipping/receiving, eCommerce fulfillment operations, cash management, and operations systems & compliance.
• Assists in preparing and executing annual inventories.
• Ensures compliance with all corporate LP, cash, and audit policies and procedures.
• Assumes responsibility for all store operations in the absence of the Store Manager.
Training and Development:
• Provides guidance and coaching to the team to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Creates and communicates a daily game plan for operations activities.
• Communicates effectively with the team, leading shift starter meetings/coaching sessions.
• Follows up with team members to complete required training within timeframes.
Leadership:
• Acts as a brand ambassador by promoting brands and culture.
• Continually motivates team performance through recognition programs, store contests, customer compliments, etc.
• Maintains performance management expectations, including progressive discipline where necessary.
• Promotes and maintains a positive and motivating work environment (safe, inclusive, and empowering).
Requirements:
• Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop department teams and store teams.
• Proven ability to build and manage a daily, weekly plan for the department and store.
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
• Superior training and mentoring skills.
• 3-5 years retail experience required.
• High energy, enthusiasm, and a drive to succeed.
• Basic computer skills required.
