Swivelpole is an Australian-designed, globally proven solution that improves safety and efficiency on industrial sites. Our patented lowering pole systems eliminate the need to work at height for lighting, CCTV, and other pole-mounted equipment and are trusted by industry leaders across the mining, energy, oil & gas, and infrastructure sectors.
As we continue to expand across Australia, we're looking for an experienced, technically minded Business Development Manager to join our WA team and drive further growth across the state. You'll be working alongside an established WA-based BDM and Account Manager, and closely with our National Specification Manager (NSM) to secure long-term partnerships and deliver project outcomes.
Your Role
You'll represent Swivelpole in Western Australia, engaging directly with:
- End users in mining, energy, oil & gas, and other heavy industrial sectors
- Site contractors, engineers, and maintenance teams
- Specifiers and procurement professionals
- Channel partners such as OEMs and electrical wholesalers
Your focus will be identifying and converting new opportunities while managing and growing existing accounts - all with the support of a collaborative and knowledgeable team.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet and exceed sales targets within your assigned territory
- Manage and optimise relationships across key customer tiers: end users, contractors, EPCs, OEMs and wholesalers
- Identify and secure new business across WA
- Collaborate with the NSM to convert specifications into sales
- Deliver product demonstrations and training that clearly communicate Swivelpole's value
- Interpret technical drawings and project requirements to provide tailored solutions
- Input into and execute an annual sales strategy for WA
- Represent Swivelpole at site meetings, trade shows, and industry events
- Maintain accurate CRM data, provide monthly reporting, and forecast sales revenue
- Work with internal teams across technical, specification, sales and service to ensure a seamless customer experience
What You Bring
- 15+ years of successful B2B sales experience (ideally in industrial, mechanical, or electrical sectors)
- Strong technical aptitude and comfort with product data sheets and drawings
- Proven success winning new business and managing strategic relationships
- Excellent communication, presentation, and organisational skills
- Self-driven and collaborative – able to work autonomously while contributing to a high-performing team
