Senior Infrastructure Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our Technology Services group and work with a large government department to implement, manage, and retire infrastructure (physical, virtual, networking, cloud) supporting digital services.
This is a dynamic, fast-paced environment where you will be responsible for managing and maintaining Microsoft and Cisco Collaboration communication infrastructure, including configuration, deployment, security, and operations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities- Maintain and support Microsoft and Cisco collaboration infrastructure.
- Provide technical support for project build, testing, and deployment activities.
- Schedule and perform regular maintenance and updates.
- Perform technical operations for ICT solutions, maintain documentation, and update system information.
- Escalate issues impacting policy, performance, or service.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues and implement solutions.
- IT infrastructure: Provision, install, configure, and maintain infrastructure services; monitor performance and security; automate routine tasks.
- Programming/software development: Design, code, test, and document scripts or simple programs; review own work.
- Systems installation and removal: Install/remove hardware/software, test, document, and assist users; develop procedures and standards.

- 12 months fixed term contract with 2 x 12 month extensions
