Responsibilities
  • Act as a resource person for staff and volunteers involved in palliative care.
  • Evaluate nursing interventions and recommend effective management strategies.
  • Liaise with medical practitioners, NGOs, and hospital staff to identify individuals in need of palliative care services.
  • Coordinate quality improvement projects related to palliative care delivery.
  • Actively participate in performance management, professional development, and training opportunities for staff.
Ideal Candidate
  • A registered nurse with demonstrated advanced clinical competence and experience relevant to palliative care.
  • Exceptional skills in planning, coordination, and decision-making.
  • Strong team leadership and membership skills are essential.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to incorporate risk management and quality management principles within practice.
  • Current knowledge of legislative and regulatory requirements in Equal Opportunity, Disability Services, and Occupational Safety and Health.
