Randstad is currently a preferred partner with a State Government organisation to recruit for the below role:

Job Title: Payroll Coordinator
Location: Footscray or Sunbury
Flexibility: 2 days on office, 3 days WFH
Salary: $55 per hour + superannuation
Contract: 3-month temporary contract (potential of extension)
ASAP start

About the Role: This position is focused on the timely and accurate maintenance of payroll and employee data through hands-on, manual processing. You will play a key role in ensuring the continuation of business-critical payroll services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the day-to-day operations of the Payroll function, ensuring consistency and optimum service levels are maintained.
  • Assist with the administration of the payroll system and core HRIS functionality.
  • Support the delivery of payroll-related payments, including superannuation and taxes.
  • Interpret the Enterprise Agreement and relevant employment, taxation, and payroll legislation.
  • Generate reports from HR and Payroll systems for data integrity checks and investigations.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders across the business, particularly with the Finance team.
Skills & Experience Required:
  • Essential end-to-end payroll processing experience in a medium-sized organisation - manual processing experience required.
  • High-level understanding of current Australian Employment legislation, payroll legislation, and best practices.
  • Strong technical knowledge in data entry with a high degree of accuracy, tax regulations, and payroll software.
  • Proficiency in PayGlobal (preferred, not required)
