About the RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced National Business Manager to lead our sales efforts and drive growth across key national accounts, especially with Aldi and in alternate channels.
This is a leadership role within a leading FMCG household brand, requiring a dynamic individual with proven success in national account management and deep understanding of alternate channel accounts.
Responsibilities- Strategic Sales Leadership: Develop and execute national sales strategies to meet company goals and increase revenue.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve targets; manage category review processes for all categories with key customers.
- Key Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key personnel in assigned accounts, focusing on Emerging, Alternate, and E-commerce channels.
- Negotiation & Closing: Negotiate profitable agreements with customers, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Sales Forecasting: Prepare accurate sales forecasts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Business Development: Conduct market research to identify new customers and market opportunities.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Marketing and Product Development to ensure brand consistency and successful product launches.
- 5-7 years of National Account Management experience in grocery, with existing relationships with Aldi and knowledge of alternative channels.
- Tertiary qualification in Business/Commerce or related field.
- Strong relationship-building, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
- Business acumen with a focus on continuous improvement and problem-solving.
- Ability to handle complexity, detail, and deadlines; process-driven with customer focus.
