Business and Operations Manager

Emmaus Christian School is a vibrant, growing P-10 School of 650+ students located in the leafy suburb of Dickson, North Canberra. The school is a member of Christian Education National.
The School is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Business and Operations Manager to join the Executive Team of the School. The successful applicant will report to the Principal and will work closely with the Board and other Executive staff. Key requirements for the position include:
- suitable qualifications (CA/CPA);
- excellent financial management and accounting skills, including budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting;
- asset and infrastructure management experience;
- high levels of skill in administrative and human resource management;
- clear strategic thinking; and
- well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
It is desirable for candidates to have experience in:
- schools and/or not-for-profit organisations;
- regulatory and compliance requirements in education;
- implementation of effective policies and procedures;
- implementation of Xero and associated add-ons;
- compliance and risk management.
The successful applicant must be a committed Christian who is active in a local church and be prepared to subscribe to the School's Statement of Faith. Applicants must comply with Child Protection and other requirements for Non-Government Schools in the ACT.
