The Food & Beverage Cost Control Manager, reporting to the Financial Controller, will oversee and enhance cost control operations for The Star Sydney's Food & Beverage division, ensuring precise financial reporting, reducing waste, and driving profitability.

This is a fantastic opportunity where you can put your skills and knowledge to the test to deliver a thrilling new era for our Finance team.

A few of your responsibilities

  • Oversee stocktake processes across hospitality outlets, ensuring consistency and accurate mapping of transfers, wastage, and BEPOZ sales
  • Analyse stocktake variances, identify discrepancies, and escalate as needed
  • Implement cost control strategies aligned with financial and operational goals
  • Advise senior management on stock and cost control, supporting pricing and efficiency initiatives
  • Track food and beverage cost trends through weekly reports and collaborate with management to maintain controls

What we are looking for

  • 5+ years' experience in F&B cost control, inventory, and financial reporting
  • Strong understanding of cost control's impact on margins and profitability
  • Skilled in identifying and resolving stock discrepancies
  • Proficient with inventory systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, BEPOZ)

With strong communication and collaboration skills, you work effectively across hospitality teams, finance, and suppliers to implement cost-saving initiatives and ensure accurate reporting.

Your deep understanding of how cost control impacts margins and profitability enables you to drive operational efficiency and support business growth.
