THE ROLE

Full Time, Ongoing

The Learning Support Coordinator plays a vital role in promoting inclusive education and ensuring all students, particularly those with diverse learning needs, can access, engage with, and progress in the curriculum. Grounded in a Christian worldview, the Coordinator works collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals to implement effective support strategies that affirm the dignity and potential of every learner, with a teaching allotment of 0.3FTE.

WHAT YOU BRING
  • Teaching qualifications and current registration with the VIT, additional qualifications in Special Education, Learning Support or Inclusive Education are desirable.
  • Previous experience teaching in a primary or secondary school setting, particularly with students with diverse learning needs.
  • Knowledge of the NCCD, Disability Standards for Education and inclusive education practices.
  • Strong commitment to Christian values, ethics and principles.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Proven experience and ability to have complex and sensitive discussions with a range of stakeholders.
  • Strong ability to collaborate with a range of stakeholders as part of a team and work independently with initiative.
