About this opportunity
Located in SEQ's south western growth corridor, our region is experiencing significant development growth and we are seeking a dynamic professional who collaborates with stakeholders, and who has a keen eye for innovative and workable land use planning and development strategies that will help guide future land use planning, and support balanced growth management outcomes across our region for decades to come. Our small and energetic team has received industry recognition in the past for innovative and industry leading plans and policies.

Additionally, you'll also …

• Ensure the timely administration of Council policies, procedures and decisions relative to the areas of responsibility.
• Ensure cost effective delivery of services within the areas of responsibility.
• Provide high level leadership and strategic direction within the areas of responsibility.
• Provide a leadership and coordination role for the compilation and monitoring of Council's budget.
• Prepare and implement contemporary infrastructure charges administrative and recovery funding strategies.

About you…

• Qualifications in Urban & Regional Planning and/or other relevant discipline and demonstrable experience.
• Demonstrated experience in leadership, overseeing operational tasks and activities, and developing a team's skills, ensuring a team operates in accordance with legislative requirements.
• Advanced interpersonal skills including the ability to provide high level customer service, negotiate, manage conflict, give guidance and direction, and clearly explain technical information to all levels of stakeholders.
• Capability to assess national, state, and local environments to ensure Council meets leading practice in its plans, policies in delivering functional outcomes.
• Capacity to negotiate and solve problems through creativity as applied within defined Council/corporate policy.
