About The Role
The Surgical, Endoscopy and Anaesthesia Services division is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated leader to join our team on an ongoing, full-time basis.

The Surgical, Endoscopy and Anaesthesia Services division is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated leader to join our team on an ongoing, full-time basis.
The Day Procedure Unit (DPU) at Sunshine Hospital provides efficient, effective, integrated care that is responsive to the needs of our culturally diverse patient group. DPU admits and provides care for patients during and after the following day procedures: gastroscopy, colonoscopy, bronchoscopy, transoesophageal echocardiograms, elective cardioversion, flexible cystoscopy, minor plastic surgery procedures, and ECT therapy.
DPU is also the admission area for all patients who are presenting for surgery/ procedures who will require a multi-day stay post operatively. The DPU nursing team participates in the endoscopy on call service.
The Unit consists of two endoscopy / procedure rooms and associated admission, recovery, and discharge areas.
You must be available on a Monday to Saturday rotating roster, including public holidays (no night duty).
Position is for 76 hours per fortnight with 8 shifts per fortnight of 9.5 hours.
About You
- Successful completion of a Bachelor of Nursing qualification or equivalent
- Registration as a Registered Nurse in Australia (AHPRA)
- Minimum of three years full-time or equivalent experience as a Registered Nurse
- Must have recent experience in Endoscopy and/or Operating Suite with Scrub/Scout or Anaesthetic/PACU
- Possess excellent clinical skills
- Effective organisational skills, with respect to time management and delegation
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to practice collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary health care team
- Demonstrated evidence of undertaking professional development activities
