Overview

Responsibilities
  • Undertake investigations into potential breaches of legislation administered by the QBCC, including job site operations and investigative activities under relevant acts.
  • Prepare investigation plans, manage high-volume caseloads, and apply best-practice investigative techniques such as offence elementisation, evidence matrix development, and conducting interviews.
  • Prepare briefs of evidence for disciplinary, civil, or criminal proceedings, conduct proactive compliance activities including audits and surveillance, and provide advice to internal staff and external stakeholders on regulatory matters.
  • Represent the QBCC in educational activities and tribunal or court proceedings, and deliver high-quality customer service while supporting the Regional Service Centre's day-to-day operations.
Qualifications
  • Certificate IV in Investigation or equivalent qualifications.
  • Minimum of three years' investigative experience, ideally in a government or regulatory environment.
  • Strong alignment with the QBCC's vision and values, showing resilience, initiative, and a commitment to customer engagement.
  • Ability to build relationships, communicate clearly, and uphold professional and legislative standards.
