Job Description

The Senior Management Accountant will be responsible for the following:
- Perform period end/month end close tasks
- Revenue accounting including unearned income and accruals schedules for concessions, retail and projects
- Labour and employee entitlements accounting
- Accounting for doubtful/bad debts
- CAPEX management & project accounting
- Revenue management tasks
- Supervision and review of billings work performed by Assistant Accountant, Projects and Operations
- Supervision of the end-to-end accounts receivable processes including credit management
- Business partner with Operations and Management teams to ensure that all customer obligations requiring finance oversight are satisfied within appropriate timeframes
- Management cost accounting, including managing cost centres and management fees
- Preparation and lodgement of Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) returns
- Ensure key statutory and any other obligations are met, within prescribed timeframes
- Provide subject matter expert guidance during the Finance Transformation Program on key financial process areas, including retail management, project accounting and automation of revenue management activities
- Process improvement initiatives
The Successful Applicant

A Successful Senior Management Accountant Should Have
- Relevant qualifications in accounting, such as CPA or CA certification.
- Proven experience in the financial services industry or related industry
- Experience in a similar role
- CPA/CA Qualification
- Experience in a fast-paced environment going through a system transition/period of transformation
- Strong communication and business partnering skills
- Strong technical skills in accounting and finance
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
