Position PurposeThe Disability Support Worker provides flexible, individualized support to participants, facilitating involvement in daily activities and living skills programs across all services.
Essential Compliance Documents- Certificate III or IV in Disability or Aged Care
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- 100 points of ID (e.g., Citizenship, Passport, Driver License, Visa & Granted Form, Medicare Card)
- Police Clearance
- First Aid + CPR
- Manual Handling
- Medication Certificate
- Car Registration
- Comprehensive Car Insurance
- Covid-19 Vaccinations (3 doses)
- Availability for at least 5 days a week
- NDIS induction and worker orientation modules
- Communication support
- Meal safety
- Covid-19 Infection Control and PPE training
- Understanding of NDIS
- Experience as a disability support worker (preferred)
- Computer literacy
- Assist with daily activities and home tasks
- Provide interventions, psycho-education, and mentoring
- Support personal hygiene and community access
- Offer emotional support and encouragement
- Facilitate communication and decision-making
- Implement behavior management strategies
- Plan and track goals
- Support learning, skill development, and employment
- Transport participants to appointments and social activities
- Uphold rights, independence, dignity, and confidentiality
