We're seeking an experienced Chef Manager to oversee kitchen operations at our aged care facility in Red Hill, leading a dedicated team and delivering high-quality, resident-focused meal service.

About the opportunity
This full-time position offers a consistent Monday to Friday roster. You'll manage the day-to-day operations of a well-established kitchen, ensuring high standards of food preparation, safety, and service. With no late nights or weekend shifts, this role is ideal for a hands-on leader looking for stability, team engagement, and meaningful work in a community-focused setting.

What's on offer

Job Description

The Role:

Cater Care Australia seeks to appoint a Chef Manager at our aged care residence in Red Hill

Organising day-to-day operations; this is the ideal role for someone who wants to provide a fantastic meal experience to our residents and values a well-run kitchen.

What This Role Involves:

  • Dual responsibilities in food preparation / presentation and site management
  • Overall cost management with a focus on food and labour costs
  • Stock ordering, rotation and stocktaking
  • Adherence to food hygiene & safety practices
  • Demonstrable team management, development & leadership
  • Assisting the broader team as required
Desired Skills and Experience

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
  • Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
  • Experience with managing labour, food & operational costs
  • Previous experience in operating kitchens and/or site management
  • Pride in personal appearance & hygiene
