Suburban Connect is seeking an experienced Environmental Coordinator to join our dynamic team working on one of Victoria's largest infrastructure projects — the Suburban Rail Loop.

If you have a proven track record in environmental management, compliance, and stakeholder engagement on major infrastructure projects, we want to hear from you

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote a positive environmental culture aligned with project values and foster diversity and inclusion across teams.
  • Collaborate with Zone Environment Teams to establish environmental goals, maintain EMS, and implement best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and project-specific environmental requirements.
  • Support audits, risk assessments, and continuous improvement of environmental systems and initiatives.
  • Coordinate and deliver programs of work, ensuring outcomes are achieved on time and within budget.
  • Manage accurate environmental data reporting, record-keeping, and support ICT system development.
  • Deliver environmental training, inductions, and awareness programs across the project.
  • Communicate environmental matters effectively to staff and stakeholders, ensuring alignment with SRL policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Environmental Engineering, Science, Sustainability or other associated disciplines.
  • Certificate IV in Environment.
