Clinician - Connect Centre role at Berry Street

The Mental Health and Wellbeing Connect Centre South East Metro provides support to families, carers, kin and supporters of those experiencing mental ill health and/or substance abuse challenges. The Connect Centre offers free services with access to their own support, with no referrals required.

Your Opportunity
  • Location: Dandenong, Boonwurrung country
  • Employment type: Part time (0.6 FTE), Fixed term until 30/08/2026
  • Salary: $103K p/a (pro rata) plus superannuation and salary packaging
  • Evening and Saturday work on a rotating roster across the team

The Clinician role will provide supportive therapeutic interventions and work in collaboration with the Lived and Living Experience Team and VACCA Cultural Team to provide wholistic support and service delivery.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide clinical assessment and intervention for families, carers, kin and supporters of those experiencing mental ill health and/or substance abuse challenges
  • Deliver wholistic therapeutic support in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Support carers through ongoing challenges and help guide them on how to support their community effectively
  • Champion the voice of carers, family members, supporters and kin
  • Work with colleagues with Lived and Living Experience within the Program
  • Contribute to a safe, respectful, and culturally sensitive service environment
Skills and Experience
  • Clinical assessment and intervention experience
  • Ability to align with Berry Street values: Courage, Integrity, Respect, Accountability and Working Together
  • Solution-focused approach and commitment to carers and families affected by mental ill health and/or substance use
  • Experience collaborating with Lived Experience teams
  • Knowledge of carers' experiences and ability to support them and their communities
