Business Development Manager – Databricks (Australia)

We are seeking a proven hunter with a passion for data, AI, and next-generation cloud solutions to lead our go-to-market efforts in the Australian market. You will win new business, secure net-new logos, and expand existing client relationships as the Databricks specialist within our core sales team, managing the full sales lifecycle from planning and prospecting through to deal closure.

Responsibilities

  • Lead go-to-market activities for Databricks in Australia, targeting net-new logos and expanding existing accounts.
  • Directly engage with customers as the lead sales resource; collaborate with the broader sales team as a Databricks specialist.
  • Manage the full sales lifecycle from planning, prospecting, needs assessment, proposal, negotiation, to deal closure.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, building long-term partnerships and shaping growth strategies in collaboration with NCS Group, Databricks, and partner ecosystem.
  • Balance hunting new opportunities with farming existing accounts to maximise value delivery.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record in business development and sales within a systems integrator, ISV, or technology consultancy.
  • Strong background in Data Analytics or Data Platforms (Databricks or Snowflake preferred).
  • Well-established network across Australian enterprise, government, and technology partners.
  • Skilled in new business acquisition, from lead generation and prospecting through to deal closure.
  • Ability to understand client challenges and translate them into high-value solutions.
  • Strong commercial acumen and a results-driven mindset, with resilience under pressure.
  • Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills, with a client-first approach.
  • Confident in presentations, workshops, and coaching to drive engagement.
  • Strategic thinker with adaptability to navigate complex and changing environments.
