Clinical Psychology Registrar - headspace Shellharbour. The position is based in Shellharbour and is a part-time, fixed-term opportunity (15 hours per week) until 30 June 2026. headspace provides support to young people aged 12-25 with mild to moderate or emerging mental health issues. Grand Pacific Health is the lead agency of headspace Shellharbour, a not-for-profit primary health care organisation delivering locally-tailored physical and mental health services across NSW and the ACT. The Clinical Psychology Registrar will work collaboratively with young people and their families to identify support needs, goals and develop collaborative care plans. The role provides high-quality psychosocial assessment and evidence-based, focused psychological interventions to young people aged 12 to 25 referred to headspace Shellharbour, in line with the Medicare Better Access to Mental Health Care initiatives.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with young people and their families to identify support needs, goals and develop collaborative care plans.
- Provide high-quality psychosocial assessment and evidence-based, focused psychological interventions for 12–25 year olds referred to headspace Shellharbour.
- Adhere to guidelines of the Medicare Better Access to Mental Health Care initiatives.
- Current AHPRA registration as a registered psychologist, with eligibility to work towards clinical endorsement as a registrar.
- Experience in assessment and diagnosis of mental health disorders.
- Experience providing evidence-based focused psychological strategies.
- Understanding of health and wellbeing needs of young people with mental health and/or substance use problems.
