Job Description

We are seeking individuals with a professional background in Psychology or Rehabilitation Counselling interested in working in the Occupational Rehabilitation sector in Wollongong NSW. You will have the flexibility and autonomy to manage your own day, with support from a strong team and the resources of a global corporate infrastructure. Provide occupational rehabilitation services to clients with physical and/or psychological conditions, supporting them to achieve return-to-health and return-to-work outcomes.

Your Duties Will Include
  • Case management with caseloads and support from Rehabilitation Assistants
  • Apply clinical knowledge to improve return-to-work outcomes
  • Develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs with employers and employees
  • Collaborate with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals
  • Work across schemes such as workers compensation, CTP, life insurance, Comcare, DVA, and employer-funded programs
  • Assist individuals to return to health and work outcomes
  • Complete assessments (initial, workplace, vocational) to review diagnosis, support treatment plans, address psychosocial barriers, and identify suitable employment
Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Health Sciences or Rehabilitation Counselling
  • General or Provisional registration with AHPRA as a Psychologist or eligibility for ASORC
  • Previous experience in Occupational Rehabilitation is highly regarded
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Compassion, empathy and strong time-management
  • Current NSW Driver's License and access to own car with comprehensive insurance
