Want your chance to make a mark on a world-class, record-breaking event? We are hiring for a Patron Communications Specialist to join our team to deliver the Australian Open 2026. This is a full-time fixed-term contract from September 2025 to February 2026.

As these are seasonal roles, we require full availability and flexibility across the summer months, December – February. If you're ready to help us serve up real impact, we'd love to hear from you.

About the role

As Patron Communication Specialist, you'll play a key role in shaping the customer experience at the Australian Open. Embedded in the Customer Experience team, you'll craft clear and timely information for patrons across digital and physical channels — from ticket purchase through to arrival and event day.

In this role you will:

  • Lead operational communication projects across pre-event and in-event phases
  • Collaborate with internal teams and partners to streamline content and manage approvals
  • Write and optimise content across formats — from digital maps and SMS to screens and guides
  • Ensure consistency between customer and workforce-facing information across all channels
  • Maintain accurate content and automate information sharing across teams and platforms

About you

You're a confident communicator and detail-focused project coordinator, passionate about content that enhances experience.

We're looking for someone with:

  • Experience in content creation, copywriting or communications, ideally in events or sport
  • Strong attention to detail and time management to handle multiple deadlines
  • Great stakeholder skills and a collaborative approach to working with diverse teams
  • An organised mindset, with the ability to manage projects and shifting priorities
  • 3+ years of relevant experience and preferably a degree in communications or related field.
