Overview

Patron Communications Specialist - 5 Month Contract. BMF Australia is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Communications Specialist (Project manager across websites) to support Tennis Australia in delivering world-class communications across the Summer of Tennis event portfolio, including the United Cup (Perth & Sydney), Brisbane International, Adelaide International, and Hobart International.

Embedded within Tennis Australia's Customer Experience (CX) team, this role will plan, create, and coordinate patron-facing communications across a variety of digital and physical channels. From the end-to-end ticket purchase journey through to real-time event updates and post-event comms, you will ensure every touchpoint is clear, consistent, and customer-first. Your work will directly enhance the fan experience, support operational success, and help deliver a seamless and engaging patron journey across multiple major events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage patron communications across the Summer of Tennis portfolio: United Cup (Perth & Sydney), Brisbane International, Adelaide International, and Hobart International.
  • Own the end-to-end ticket purchase journey across all events, working with Ticketmaster and Ticketek (Perth).
  • Update and maintain content across four event websites, including FAQs, event details, and key patron information.
  • Implement contact strategies and go-to-market plans, ensuring timely and engaging communication across channels (email, SMS, website, digital signage).
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders across Customer Experience, Marketing, Ticketing, Event Operations, and Customer Support to ensure aligned and accurate messaging.
  • Work closely with external partners (Ticketing agencies, tech providers) to support content delivery and accuracy.
  • Ensure all communications are on brand, accessible, and customer-first, enhancing engagement and satisfaction.
  • Track and monitor communications effectiveness, providing feedback and reporting for continuous improvement.
Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience in communications, content coordination, or marketing roles, ideally in sport, events, or entertainment.
  • Strong writing and editing skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with a proactive, "can-do" attitude.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with content management systems (e.g. Adobe Experience Manager) and email marketing tools is advantageous.
  • An interest in sport, live entertainment, or major events highly regarded.
