What's the role?
As the Lead Producer – Animation at Visual Domain, you'll be our animation expert and go-to problem solver, overseeing the production of animated content from concept to delivery. Your organisational skills, creative expertise, and ability to collaborate with producers, clients, and animators will ensure the successful execution of animation projects while continuing to elevate our animation offering.
Project Management
- Manage animation projects end-to-end, including creative development, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Assign projects to animators based on skill set, workload, and project complexity.
- Develop and maintain animation workflows to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality projects.
- Resolve production challenges quickly and ensure project risks are flagged early.
Budget and Cost Controls
- Ensure cost-effective use of internal and external resources.
- Assist with scoping animation projects to ensure profitability and efficiencies.
- Track revenue and project profitability, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Identify and implement efficiencies and cost-saving methods to strengthen delivery.
Creative & Production Oversight
- Lead and oversee creative concept development, including script writing, storyboarding, and animation art direction.
- Work alongside our Client Success Managers to develop and pitch animation projects.
- Facilitate brainstorming and creative development sessions to drive innovation.
- Oversee quality control across all animation projects, ensuring feedback is actioned correctly.
- Ensure all animation work adheres to brand guidelines and high creative standards.
- Work closely with internal teams to troubleshoot challenges and enhance the animation department's offering.
Who are you?
- Minimum 5 years of experience in animation production, motion design, or a related role.
- Strong project management skills with experience juggling multiple animation projects at once.
- A deep understanding of 2D, 3D and Hybrid animation workflows.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, able to remain calm under pressure and solutions-focused.
- Confident working directly with clients and producers, managing expectations, and delivering exceptional results.
- Budget management and resource allocation expertise.
- A passion for animation, storytelling, and creative problem-solving.
