About the Role
Reporting to the Director, this autonomous role is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Construction Team. You will lead from the front, with operational precision and a forward thinking strategic mindset that will ensure our homes are delivered to a high quality, within budgets and agreed timeframes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop five Site Supervisors delivering homes across South East Queensland.
- Drive quality, safety and compliance – maintain high standards across all builds, ensuring adherence to National Construction Code, WHS and Ultra's own quality standards.
- Manage schedules, budgets and resources, anticipating risks and mitigating delays.
- Resolve on‑site challenges and provide clear directions as required.
- Collaborate with internal departments (design, estimating, sales and pre-construction) to ensure seamless delivery and outstanding client satisfaction.
- Forward planning to manage team structure and workforce planning to ensure our capacity can meet business needs.
What you'll bring
- Proven leadership in residential construction, ideally as a Construction Manager or Area Manager overseeing multiple supervisors.
- Strong technical knowledge of Australian building codes, WHS legislation and quality management processes.
- Financial and organisational acumen to manage budgets, schedules and resources across multiple sites.
- Experience leading and mentoring Construction teams, with the ability to foster a high‑performance culture and resolve issues promptly.
- A proactive, solutions‑driven mindset, with a passion for delivering quality homes and continuous improvement.
