Overview

Category Lead - Irrigation, Pools, Pumps & Water Treatment at Reece Group

As Category Lead you'll drive an industry leading product portfolio that gives us a distinct competitive advantage. You'll be managing stakeholder relationships across our supply chain, including domestic and international suppliers.

Responsibilities
  • Ensuring that the category portfolios are customer led and provide a distinct competitive advantage; undertake regular range views for optimisation and new product opportunities
  • Manage supplier relationships and performance, negotiating commercial terms
  • Drive product innovation and development; manage products from concept to launch, collaborating with key stakeholders to bring ideas to life
  • Develop industry relationships to stay exposed to ongoing innovation and disruption
  • Provide reporting and insights on category portfolios (using Excel and Power BI); analyse results to update on trends and other impacts
  • Develop procurement plans that enable the efficient supply of products
  • Keep the customer at the heart of every decision, helping build customers for life at Reece
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar category management role; related experience in retail, procurement, supply chain and marketing will be considered
  • Experience working in a B2B environment (trade/distribution customers) is preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills with a passion for mentoring and sharing knowledge, and the ability to present and engage audiences
  • A positive, can-do attitude with an inquisitive nature and desire to understand the Reece business and products
  • Strong relationship-building skills; you'll work with multiple stakeholders within the business and with external vendors and suppliers
  • Good Excel and Power BI skills
