Overview

Major Motors Forrestfield operates an authorised WA licensing centre and are dedicated to ensuring the safety and compliance of vehicles on the road. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Heavy Vehicle Inspector to join our growing team, to perform Vehicle Inspections in accordance with Department of Transport requirements.

This is a full-time position with a Monday to Friday 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM schedule. Remuneration: $95,000-$110,000 per annum. Training and guidance will be provided to obtain Vehicle Examiner Certification.

Major Motors is the number one selling Isuzu truck dealer in Western Australia and has held this position in the total truck market since 1989.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out heavy vehicle inspections in accordance with DOT requirements
  • Complete the relevant DOT forms
  • Enter all inspections into VIS
  • Provide a premium level of service to our customers
Qualifications
  • HV trade qualifications with repairers' certificate HVW
  • Basic computer and written skills
  • HR or HC unrestricted Western Australian driver's license
  • A mechanical aptitude for most makes and models
  • Self-motivated and a strong work ethic
  • Able to obtain a police clearance
  • Able to work autonomously or as part of a team
  • Commitment to workplace OH&S
Additional Information

Experience and qualification in the licensing inspection sector is an advantage but not essential, as training and guidance will be provided to obtain Vehicle Examiner Certification. The successful applicant must have the following: HV trade qualifications with repairers' certificate HVW, a valid WA driver's license (HR or HC), and the ability to obtain a police clearance.
