About the Role

This is a unique opportunity that combines business analysis, service design and change adoption to support technology projects covering application development and implementation as well as broadcast and IT infrastructure upgrades and initiatives.

The Principal Business Readiness Analyst will lead the provision of expert analysis on complex technology-based business systems and processes and advise on workflow, service and human centred design to ensure the business is prepared for the changes and adopts the improvements to benefit the wider ABC.

The Principal Business Analyst is a key member of the Business Readiness Practice team within the Product & Technology division. The team includes business analysts, change managers, learning and design specialists.

The role will support the Business Readiness Practice Manager by leading the development of concept briefs, contributing to business cases, driving consistent standards, tools and templates for the practice and mentoring colleagues.

This includes:

  • Providing expert business analysis, service design and change advice to address complex technology-based business needs and processes including the design and implementation of technology enabled business solutions.
  • Scoping, planning and scheduling business readiness activities to ensure effective delivery of project activation plans and support adoption of change.
  • Assisting the Business Readiness Practice Manager to build capability among team members and colleagues on project delivery and emerging trends.
  • Carrying out requirements gathering, documentation and analysis of data, technology systems, business processes and people impacts
  • Maintaining effective communication with stakeholders; reporting progress and addressing issues and risks promptly to facilitate speedy resolution to maintain agreed timelines for completion.

About You

You have experience as a Principal Business Readiness Analyst with considerable experience in developing and delivering business analysis, service design and change activities in an IT environment to enable effective delivery and adoption of business solutions. Your experience will also include:

  • Working in large complex development projects is mandatory.
  • Extensive expertise in analysis of complex IT systems, business processes and people impacts, with proven experience in service design and delivering change.
  • Exceptional ability to apply theoretical technical, process and people related concepts to business requirements including user experience and human centred design approaches.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide expert knowledge to management, stakeholders and users.
  • Demonstrated ability to take a lead in project teams, coaching and contributing to the development of practice processes and mentoring staff.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to convey or translate complex technical information to target audiences.
