Responsibilities
  • Take on varied roles in a unique environment: peacekeeper, counsellor or teacher, working directly with prisoners.
  • Build constructive, positive and professional relationships with offenders.
  • Work as part of a team to keep the prison, offenders and staff safe.
  • Support colleagues and act as one team; manage shifts and weekends.
  • Protect the public and help to make a positive impact on lives.
Requirements / Qualities
  • Integrity, empathy, self-confidence and great communication skills.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, varied situations.
