Make an impact at Serco
As a Correctional Officer at the Adelaide Remand Centre, you'll be actively providing prisoner safety protection and support through dynamic monitoring and respectful engagement while also ensuring the security of the facility. You'll join a multidisciplinary team to provide best practice prisoner intake, assessment, and induction processes. You will support the prisoner transitioning into the SA prison system or release into the community
As a Correctional Officer, you'll make a difference by:
- Ensuring facility safety and security through dynamic monitoring and compliance protocols
- Supporting a culturally sensitive environment and respecting diversity
- Supervising daily prisoner activities and management regimes
- Participating in prisoner intake, transfer, and discharge processes
- Being a member of the multi-disciplinary team that provides health, mental health and case management services
- Responding to incidents with professionalism and adhering to de-escalation procedures
- Promoting prisoner reintegration into the community and ensuring contact with family, community and cultural supports and legal assistance
