Psychologist: $39.01 - $57.10 per hour

NBMLHD Community Mental Health offers a range of specialised services for children, young people, families and older people, through our community-based services and health centres. Getting on Track In Time (Got It) is a vibrant, school-based early intervention program that makes a real difference in the lives of young children and their families. Focused on nurturing social and emotional wellbeing, the program works hand-in-hand with children, parents, carers, and school staff to prevent behavioural challenges before they escalate. It empowers parents with practical skills, strengthens the support systems within schools, and fosters a community-wide approach to child development. From engaging learning groups for Kindergarten to Year 2 students, to tailored parenting programs and whole-school education initiatives, every aspect of Got It is designed to meet the unique needs of each school community.

What You Will Bring To The Role

• Recognised tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social work, Occupational therapy, with current registration with AHPRA (psychology/occupational therapy) or eligibility for membership of AASW.
• Significant post-graduate experience providing assessment and intervention to children and their families presenting with mental health needs using evidence-based approaches.
• Demonstrated understanding of child development, and the effects of trauma on child mental health.
• Experience and skill in developing, delivering and evaluating group programs.
• High level communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a range of key stakeholders.
• Availability to run evening groups during school term as required.
• Current Driver\'s License and willingness to use for work purpose travel.
