Job DescriptionWHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Payroll Project Manager, you'll oversee the end-to-end implementation of new payroll and award interpretation systems, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. Your responsibilities include training stakeholders, managing risks, and ensuring a seamless transition.
Responsibilities- Manage all project phases: objectives, timelines, resources
- Conduct risk management, compliance checks, and budget reviews
- Oversee system configuration, testing, and data migration
- Lead and communicate project progress to stakeholders
- Interpret Enterprise and Collective Agreements, Awards, and clauses to ensure correct payments
- Stay informed about tax laws, wage regulations, and labour policies affecting payroll compliance
- Set up system infrastructure for error-free payroll calculations in collaboration with vendors
- Manage payroll project budget, optimize resources, reduce expenses
- Coordinate roles across HR, Finance, IT, and external consultants
- Develop timelines for configuration, testing, data migration, and go-live
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks
- Oversee troubleshooting during rollout
- Ensure adherence to procedures, security, and legal standards
- Develop and deliver training for stakeholders on the new system
Collaborate with Payroll Responsible, Payroll Coordinators, Global BT, HR Managers, Finance, and external stakeholders to ensure project success.
Candidate Profile- Experience in payroll operations, management, or HR solutions (min 3 years)
- Knowledge of software implementation and payroll processes in AU/NZ
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Proactive problem-solver with leadership qualities
