Overview

Join to apply for the Chef role at Southern Cross Care WA. Our residential Care team at Jeremiah Donovan House are currently looking for a Chef on a permanent part-time basis working Wednesdays and Thursdays 0700-1500.

About The Role And Where You Will Be Working

We are surrounded by natural bushland at the foot of the Kalamunda Hills and provide 24/7 clinical and personal care in a comfortable and relaxing environment. You'll be responsible for catering to all dietary needs, including texture-modified meals or plated dishes prepared to specific requirements. We aim to offer meals and snacks that are nutritious, palatable and attractive, so residents feel at home.

About You

With commercial cooking experience, you may already be working in aged care or be considering moving into the sector. You may have gained experience in restaurants or commercial kitchens and are looking for a role that makes a genuine difference in residents' lives.

To Be Considered For This Role, You'll Need
  • Certificate IV in Commercial Cooking
  • Prior experience in commercial cooking services
  • An understanding of specific dietary requirements
  • Knowledge of safe handling & storage of chemicals
  • Great interpersonal skills
