Overview

Travel to First Nations communities in Arnhem Land. Provide coverage for ALPA's CDP programs.

Position: Travelling Support Officer – Community Development Program (CDP)

This is a fixed term contract with no home base. The role involves travelling across Arnhem Land, living out of a suitcase, and supporting ALPA's CDP sites as required.

To succeed, you will be flexible, adventurous and adaptable, with a talent for building strong relationships with existing employees and community stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Travel across Arnhem Land to support ALPA's 10 CDP sites as required
  • Cover vacancies while recruiting is in progress
  • Cover roles when employees take annual leave
  • Provide extra support to sites as required
  • Engage with community stakeholders and ALPA employees to build strong relationships
Qualifications
  • Experience as an Employment Consultant or Activities Coordinator
  • An understanding of the current CDP contract is advantageous
